Course Overview

This course provides information about mental health and wellbeing for employers and managers. It is aimed at business owners and managers in a variety of settings who want to better understand and support people with mental health problems.

This course looks at the six main factors affecting mental health and wellbeing at work and how you can support your employees through helping to define mental health, look at the symptoms, the impact it can have, legislation surrounding mental health and how to devise an action plan which promotes positive mental wellbeing in the workplace.

The impact of mental health in the workplace saw 0.5 million employees suffer from work-related stress and 11.7 million working days were lost in 2016. On average each case saw 24 working days lost at a cost of up to £10 billion per year in the public sector.

The course is suited for business owners and managers in a variety of settings. A positive, healthy workplace culture can increase productivity, morale and create a more pleasurable atmosphere.
