About the course:
Training your staff in the role of fire marshal/warden is of vital importance to establish an all-encompassing awareness of fire hazards. Our training particularly underscores the significance of extinguisher training, providing in-depth knowledge to understand and confront the risks posed by fire.
Our fire marshal/warden training course has been meticulously designed to provide an immersive learning experience. Our tailored onsite delivery allows us to conduct the training either at our training office in Colchester, or at your premises – at a schedule that is convenient for you.
This course is aimed at candidates who have been given a designated role within their organisation for fire safety, and in the event of a fire emergency. This course is designed to give an understanding of fire and its characteristics and to help staff recognize the different ways they can make their place of work a safe environment in terms of fire safety.
Objectives:
- Awareness of key fire safety duties
- Passive fire precautions within your premises
- Recognition of habitual human behavior in a fire situation
- Knowledge and understanding of the role of the fire warden/marshal
- Awareness and understanding of basic principles of risk assessment
- Awareness and knowledge of correctly preventing a fire
- Understanding how to limit the impact of fire
- Common principles of evacuation
- Organizing and carrying out fire drills
- Implementing efficient fire safety measures

- Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) order 2005
- Aims and objectives
- Fire safety law and legislation
- Health and safety at work
- Procedures and role of the fire warden/marshal
- Nominated officer (fire)
- Firefighting equipment and standards

Course Requirements:
There are no requirements for attending this course.
Certification:
Upon completion, an e-certificate is issued and emailed to the person who booked the training, the home/manager or a specific person where this has been requested. Certificates are issued normally within 2 weeks of course completion. Paper certificates are available upon request.
Remember:
Fire warden/marshal training does not replace basic fire safety training.
