Safeguarding Legislation: Key laws, policies, and professional responsibilities.
Types of Abuse: Forms of abuse, how they occur, and identifying risk factors.
Who is a Vulnerable Person? Characteristics and situations that increase vulnerability.
Signs, Symptoms & Prevention: Recognizing abuse and applying prevention strategies.
Safeguarding Investigations: Reporting concerns and understanding investigation processes.
Whistleblowing: Raising concerns, legal protections, and reporting poor practices.
Assessment:
Learners are required to complete a knowledge assessment at the end of this session to allow them to evidence their understanding of the content covered. This can be included in the portfolio of evidence for CPD and revalidation.
